After a lifelong fascination with science and the love of helping people, I started my career as a massage therapist 20 years ago. I worked in a massage clinic on the Northern Beaches of Sydney as well as doing mobile treatments for friends and family. It is the largest and longest running massage clinic in the area. In 2015 I purchased the clinic and managed it for 5 years before moving to the US. With the help of an amazing team, I continue to run it remotely.
No single approach is right for each individual and my pursuit to know why my clients had dysfunction in their body, led me to study Anatomy Trains Structural Integration in 2015. Structural Bodywork has enabled me to determine the source of pain and restriction more effectively in my clients. The objective is to create freedom and ease in their bodies so they are able to build balanced strength.
While Bryan was on tour with the Foo Fighters, he contacted my teacher at Anatomy Trains and asked for a recommendation for a massage therapist while he was in Sydney. From the moment we met, Bryan and I became great friends. I discovered his clinic was similar to mine and happened to be where my husband previously lived for many years. We had always wanted to moved back to Knoxville so Bryan didn’t have to try very hard to convince me to join his clinic. I am blessed to finally be here and working with such an amazing team at Carter Sport Therapy.
